The formal inauguration took place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 1500 at Madera Post 131 Membership Meeting. District 2 Commander, Gary Smith, conducted the inauguration with the assistance of outgoing Sgt at Arms Mike Davis.

It was pretty hot so i only worked about 6 hours today. Got all the walls covered except for the back… need to get another sheet of OSB.
Put up some of the felt and tomorrow i will start on the chicken wire and the roof.
I need to figure out how to cut two sheets of 4 ft by 8 ft and make the two into 64 inches by 98 inches.

I started a small shed for the backyard so I can put a bunch of the tools and Christmas tree out there and try and regain some of my floor space in the garage.
Price of lumber is so high and the veterans 10% off doesn’t apply to lumber or other building supplies… I did end up saving 29 bucks which isn’t too bad , but the bill was still over 600 bucks… uhg! I worked all Saturday from 8 AM until around 4:30, wasn’t too bad once I got shade. I got all four walls done and three of them up and anchored.

When: April 03, 2022 10:00 AM, MST
Where: Quail Creek Madera Clubhouse
Great weather and a beautiful day in Green Valley.

Having a bunch of stuff all over the house, in drawers, closets and in the garage, I decided to get my bug out bag filled and finished for our next trip or camping event.
It is nice to have it all in one and looking at the list I did quite well without spending too much for the other odds and ends I did not have.

The truck tent, cots and sleeping bags did not get on this list because they are not in the bag. Below is my check off list… I also bought a very nice roller bag, military large. Tons of big pockets both inside and out.
The weather was perfect and I have enough of the items I wanted complete to be able and drive my BMW 1968 model 2002 ,,, so we went to dinner and enjoyed the drive. An older man in the parking lot ask while I was taking pictures what year it was and said it reminded him of his he bought in 1983, he said it was a 1976 BMW 2002tii.
It was nice to see everyone giving me the thumbs up as we drove.
Good dinner and a nice drive. I am glad it is running perfect again… even if it was after two and a half years!

Starting back in July 2020 I brought my BMW back from the body shop and started the process of putting all the components back into my car. The project was a major undertaking as I replaced the headliner, reupholster all the seats, new seals and gaskets for the windows, doors, and trunk.
I added speakers to the back seat tray and a tube sub woofer in the trunk for my sounds system. The chrome was polished and new mounting plastic clips were used. This next weekend I will place the wind shield and gasket and i will be able to take the Bimmer out for a test drive, get some new gas and a wash.
I also need to call my insurance and let them know I need to insure it for the new value… UHG! But I am glad to have it almost back on the road, as the weather is so nice out and I need to get some miles on those new tires!
